This is the all important video on the fourth Missional Milestone ‘Train’. This is how to do discipleship in a way where:
- It works with people far from God.
- You can do it without any formal training background. You can do it right now even if it’s brand new!
- You don’t teach, in fact, it’s better if you don’t teach anything and let the process work for itself.
- It leads to gospel movement! People learn right from the beginning to share their faith and do things to make their lives, and the lives of others better. Which then gets others interested in learning more about God.
Again, the idea of Train is that you just need to help people get discipleship. Here we present the best way we have found to do it, but that doesn’t mean it’s the only way. If you find a better way, let us know!
One key thing is that many of our discipleship methods require someone to be an expert first (e.g. well trained teacher or scholar). There’s nothing wrong with that in itself. But it does restrict the speed the gospel can move. This is a Bible centered way of doing it that doesn’t require an expert. Which means the gospel can move much faster. However, because it’s all tied to Scripture, it means people are operating from sound biblical principles.
